OmniSTAR provides worldwide one of the most accurate positioning services available by providing positioning to clients in real time, 24 hours a day.

Systems errors, such as orbit, timing and atmospheric errors, limit the accuracy that can be achieved using the US Global Positioning System satellite service to approximately 10-15 metres.

Terrestrial DGPS and public access systems can improve GPS position accuracy to within 3 to 10 metres but are dependant on range and transmission interference and are proven to be less reliable than satellite based systems like OmniSTAR.

The OmniSTAR Virtual Base Station (VBS) technology provides users with accurate positioning with a correction message further enhanced for their location. This multiple reference station solution can provide accuracy to within one metre.
